About
Linda is a creative photographer and her aim is to achieve a soft painterly effect in her work and to capture the essence of her subject. She wants to express a personal depiction of her environment, looking beyond the obvious, to capture the atmosphere of the scene and the vision she is trying to convey.
Linda is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. She has gained two Fellowships, the first in May 2013 and the second in June 2022, both in the Visual Art Photography category. She has served on the Licentiate Distinction Assessment Panel and is a Guest Editor for the RPS Visual Art Group magazine and is in the process of setting up a new Visual Art sub-group in London. She has gained the EFIAP Bronze distinction (Excellence of the International Federation of Photographic Art).
Linda’s work is exhibited widely both within the UK and internationally, including at the Royal Albert Hall, the National Theatre, the Oxo Gallery and the Saatchi Gallery in London and at the Huangshan Yixian International Festival in China. She has had her images and articles published in numerous magazines and other publications.
Linda has published three books, her latest entitled ‘The Aquitaine Countryside’, showing Linda’s images of the French countryside, was published in September 2024. The first entitled ‘Creative Photography’, which goes through in-camera creative techniques as well as detailed Photoshop techniques, was published in July 2019 (the second edition in February 2024). Her second book entitled ‘Overlooked Beauty’, showing Linda’s successful Fellowship images, was published in September 2023.
She enjoys sharing her expertise with others and is in demand as a speaker as well as an occasional international salon judge. She has also run numerous creative workshops for the RPS and camera clubs.
